Irvine Regional Park 24

Thank you, Elon Musk.

Quintessentially Irvine.

Until a year ago, I walked this road almost every day—three miles at a time, often more than fifty miles a month. The Good Earth trilogy, Dale Carnegie, Doctor Zhivago, Schopenhauer, The Captain’s Daughter, Raymond Carver, The Iliad, the Stoics, Matsumoto Seichō, Jack Bogle, Munger, Buffett, and Yujeong from RIDI. Thank you for keeping me company.

Waimea Canyon, often called the Grand Canyon of the Pacific. Red cliffs cut through with deep greens—a landscape unlike what I had imagined Hawaii to be.
